The cultural café Balkiss
It is located on the roof of our hotel, the cafe dominates the city of sfax and its surroundings.
Balkiss is the name of the queen of Saba, who the bible tells about her encounter with King Solomon in Jerusalem. Similarly, the Holy Quran states that the hoopoe helps this meeting and relationship between King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
This beautiful legend inspired us the name «Balkiss» for our café.
An annual award will be given to one of our visitors for any outstanding literary work.
